3.5 cups oats
2/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup oat bran
1 Tbl cinnamon
3 Tbl flax seeds
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup honey
1 1/2 cups natural peanut butter or almond butter
dark chocolate (optional)
Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl.
In another bowl, stir nut butter and honey. Stir in all dry ingredients in this bowl. Mix thoroughly. Press mixture in foil – lined 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven, put a little chocolate on top and put back in oven for 2 minutes.
Spread chocolate evenly over bars.
Cool in refrigerator for 2 hours.
Cut into small bars and wrap (foil or plastic wrap).
Store in refrigerator.
