What do you enjoy most about working at UpLift?
I love the community that UpLift has! Every trainer and member support each other and encourage each other to try new things and push their limits. It really is a special community.
What made you interested in exercise?
Growing up as a competitive dancer my whole life kept me very active. I studied Exercise Science in undergrad and was so fascinated by the anatomy and physiology of exercise. I truly believe understanding how the body works and the importance of exercise keeps me motivated to keep exercising.
What is your advice for maintaining a healthier lifestyle?
Focus on balance! Nobody can be 100% perfect with fitness and nutrition, so it’s important to find the balance. I love routine, so I always plan out the time of day I work out each week to make sure I fit it in. I also focus on eating protein and vegetables & leave some room for chocolate of course!
What do you do in your free time?
In the summer months, I enjoy being outdoors at the lake. You can also find me reading a good book, trying new recipes, and watching a good tv show! I love spending time with family and friends. I also work as an occupational therapist!
