My name is Taylor Swager, and I am absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to meet each and every one of you. My journey in group fitness began all the way back in 2001 when I was attending college at UMD. Initially, I had no idea I wanted to become a fitness instructor, but once I joined the UMD Fitness team and started teaching Studio Strength and Cardio Step, I quickly realized it was my passion.
When I transferred to the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities to continue my education, I brought my love for fitness along with me. I had the pleasure of teaching at several locations, including the East Side YMCA, Halsa, and Xperience Fitness. Over the past 20+ years, I have discovered that my favorite formats are Body Attack and Body Pump from the Les Mills programs. The energy these classes bring is simply unmatched!
Music is a huge source of motivation for me, and I love a good beat that pushes everyone to work their hardest. What truly excites me, though, is hearing your stories, seeing your faces light up during workouts, and engaging in conversations in the studio. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness friendships forming, people focusing on bettering themselves, and the overall positive atmosphere.
